On Wednesday, December 20th, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, had a meeting with members of the Council of State to discuss Ghana’s lithium deal with Australia-based Atlantic Lithium.
During the meeting, the government’s commitment to promoting transparency and comprehension of the crucial agreement was emphasized, as misconceptions had been circulating in the public discourse.
Abu Jinapor highlighted the importance of communication and clarification, ensuring the public understands the agreement’s essence and potential while addressing any concerns raised.
Additionally, this move aimed to gather valuable input from Council members to ensure the agreement’s effective execution.
The Lands Minister reiterated Ghana’s unwavering commitment to transparent and accountable resource exploitation practices, underlining the agreement’s significance.
The Minister pledged to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the optimal utilization and benefits derived from the nation’s lithium resources.
