Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central in the Greater Accra Region, has partnered the BSNC Foundation to organise a free medical screening exercise aimed at improving access to healthcare for residents in the Constituency and surrounding communities.
The exercise, held on Monday, October 19, 2026, provided more than 1,500 individuals with access to medical screening, treatment, medication and other essential healthcare services.

The initiative formed part of the MP’s efforts to address the healthcare needs of his constituents and promote the well-being of residents, particularly those who may face financial barriers to accessing essential medical services.
Services provided at the exercise included malaria treatment, dental care, the distribution of dental care kits, general health screening and other essential medical interventions.

The programme offered beneficiaries an opportunity to assess their health conditions, receive treatment for common ailments and obtain medical assistance without the financial burden associated with accessing such services.
According to Mr Boamah, “access to quality healthcare remains essential to building healthy and productive communities, making it necessary to support initiatives that bring medical services closer to the people”.

Collaboration with the BSNC Foundation highlights the importance of partnerships between public representatives and philanthropic organisations in responding to the healthcare needs of communities.
With more than 1,500 people benefiting from the exercise, the initiative represents a significant intervention aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and improving access to basic medical services in Okaikwei Central.
Mr Patrick Boamah in his speech, reaffirmed his commitment to working towards a healthier and stronger Constituency, stressing the importance of collective efforts in improving the well-being of the residents.
The exercise underscores the need for sustained community-based healthcare initiatives to complement existing health services and ensure that more people can access essential medical care.

He concluded by commending the residents for coming out in their number to checks on their health status, and promised to do more for them, because a healthy people makes a healthy community prosperous.
