Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin’s likability amongst his people does not only lie in his generosity and the seas of developmental projects he has given to his people, it also lies in his philosophy that the overall development of Effutu is a collective responsibility and that whoever has played any role towards same must be recognized.
To this end, he does not only recognize Effutu people who only share in his political views but even those who believe in other ideologies.
Dr. Ebenezer Ato Ayirebi-Acquah was the Member of the first Parliament of the fourth Republic representing the Effutu constituency in the Central Region.
The Deputy Majority Leader put up an ultra-modern surgical ward at the Effutu Municipal Hospital and named it after Dr. Ayirebi Acquah, a former NDC MP for Effutu.

It was all tears of joy as Dr. Ayirebi Acquah could not believe his eyes what the young MP had done for him. He was exceedingly grateful for that gesture.
Afenyo-Markin would not let it end there. Today, Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, he unveiled a health centre he has built in honour of Samuel Owusu Agyei who became the MP for Effutu under President John Agyekum Kufuor.
This beautiful edifice has also brought happiness to the former MP and his family as it will serve the health needs of the people within the community of its establishment.
Many others in other fields have been recognized by the Honourable Member of Parliament for Effutu and many more are on the way coming. Anytime you visit Winneba, try to visit the Heritage Centre close to UEW, South Campus, you will see for yourself what Afenyo-Markin has done in his efforts to unify the entire Effutu Municipality. Indeed, he is more than a visionary leader, for he is also emblematic of harmony.
