Chief of Anum Asamankese in the Eastern Region, Barimah Kwasi Mensah Essah Bediako III, has feted over 300 aged persons in the Community.
Celebrating his first Christmas since he was enstooled as Chief of the Community, Barimah Bediako III decided to dine with the aged.
He appealed for peace within the community for rapid development and outlined his vision for the area, and especially education as his priority.
Barimah Bediako III pledged to make sure all children of school-going in his area will have education, at least to the SHS level.

Speaking on youth and drug abuse, he called for unity to fight against it and indicated he will liaise with the District Police Command to fight against drugs and crime.
Teenage pregnancy, he said, is something that parents should come together and fight against.
He said, “It is time the people of Anum come together as one so we can seek development since we are lagging.”
“We will see to it that the community gets an SHS and polyclinic since the Government Hospital will be upgraded to General Hospital status.”
Some of the aged received hampers while special parcels were also presented to the sick that could not make it to the palace to dine with Barimah Bediako III.
Later in the evening, dinner was served to all the sub-chiefs and opinion leaders of Anum Asamankese.
