Dr. Kofi Amoah calls for end of violence in football

Dr Kofi Amoah, President of the Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee (NC) is pleading to the sporting public to bring an end to the crowd violence happening across some centres in the on-going Special Competition.

Hooliganism and crowd disturbances have been an on-going issue in the competition with the recent been at the Golden City Park involving some officials of Asante Kotoko and supporters of Berekum Chelsea.

Two officials of Kotoko were hospitalized after they were beaten by Berekum Chelsea supporters at the Golden City Park before the start of the game.

Meanwhile, Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa has also been banned after another case of crowd disturbance and hooliganism in a game between Aduana Stars and Medeama which ended in a 1-1.

“I’m appealing to all football loving Ghanaians as the GFA NC President, to help bring an end to the unpleasant happenings in our game”, Dr Kofi Amoah told Asempa FM.
