Director of Training at the Electoral Commission (EC), Mr. Michael Boadu, has decried the use of profane language in the country’s body politic.
Such attitudes, he said, have the potential of derailing the sacrifices and gains of the state over the past years.
He noted that Ghana is not passing through an important and exciting phase in her credentials but also in the struggle for economic freedom devoid of political and social interference.
Mr. Boadu cautioned against the misguided role of the youth and stressed the future of the nation demands that the youth fashion their lives with a distinct objective.
“To love Ghana and make her great and proud at all times in all things,” he stated.
Mr. Michael Boadu expressed these concerns at a public lecture and launch of violence-free election 2020 organized by the Centre of Awareness and Global Peace Mission in Cape Coast.
He spoke on the theme, “Targeting youth and leadership across the globe to achieve peace worldwide through education
The Director appealed to all political parties to offer their support and abide by the electoral rules of vigilance, justice, and fairness.
He assured Ghanaians of the Commission’s core ethical stance to be neutral in the discharge of its activities for national peace and stability during the December 2020 elections.
He expressed the Commission’s commitment to remain neutral with forge strong collaboration with key stakeholder institutions in the upcoming elections.
The EC, he said, would also demonstrate to the world the country’s acceptance to multi-party democratic governance and strong independent institutions of state as the engine of national peace and political stability.
