The Bole District Electoral Commission(EC) Officer, Alhassan Yussif Ayuba, and his driver, Basiru Kojo, have been killed in a ghastly accident at Kusawgu in the Northern Region.
According to Bole based, Nkilgi FM, the EC official and his driver were traveling from Tamale after heading there to pick up electoral materials for the upcoming district level elections.
The accident is said to have occurred in the early hours of Friday, 6 December 2019.
Mr Ayuba was the former Assistant Head of Communication at the EC during the Charlotte Osei era, before being transferred to Bole, when a new EC Chairperson, Jean Mensah was named.
