The National Democratic Congress (NDC)Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Joycelyn Tetteh, has donated items to some communities and institutions in her constituency as part of activities for the Christmas celebration.

Ms. Tetteh at Vakpo Afeye Police Station donated bag of rice, cooking oil and other item to the Personal and a hamper to the District Commander, Mr. Kodzo Avornyo. She also inspected a new police Station at Anfoega for the Anfoega Police District Command.

Happy with the facility, the MP promised to help the police to fix some of their challenges the officers are facing, which includes vehicles and other logistics to make their work easy since the security of the people are paramount to her.

The District Commander, Mr. Avornyo expressed gratitude to the MP for remembering them as one of the institutions she was visiting during the celebration of the Birth of Christ.

He noted, “We feel so much needed and respected; we also have to live up to expectation. It is going to boost our morale”.

“We need information to work, but our culture does not allow us to be open with strangers, especially the police, but as duty demands, we will do all our best to protect the citizens”. He made an appeal to the Police Administration to increase the personnel in the District as they are lack of men.

The North Dayi legislator also presented an undisclosed amount of money and items to the children’s ward of the Catholic Hospital in the area.

Ms Tetteh explained that: “It is something that I always do; this is not the first time, normally l go to the vulnerable in the society.

“I believe in the fact that we are all not the same and we are all not privileged to have these basic things in life, so, I always make sure that from the beginning of the year, I make provisions toward that. December comes and I am supposed to be sharing love, not only wishing them ‘Merry Christmas’ but also in my little way that I can, touch their lives”.

She also organized a-get-together for her Ward executives of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the North Dayi Constituency and had an open forum with the Okada riders and donated footballs, jerseys and reflector shirts to them to be used especially in the night.

Ms. Tetteh also promised to help each Union of the four Okada associations with half payment for newly motor bikes.
