Be moderate in demands; outrageous cash requests making MMDCEs, MPs thieves – Superior

By January 08, 2019 587 0

The Mayor of Tamale, Iddrisu Musah Superior is cautioning party foot soldiers to moderate in their demands because their requests encourages politicians especially appointees of government to be thieves based on the incessant begging spree at their offices and private homes as though they manufacture money.

A worried mayor observed that the trend is likely to push some of them into dipping their hands in the public purse which is regarded pure thievery appealing to them to rather make moderate demands that can be met from personal resources

According to him, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and Members of Parliament (MPs) among other appointees, continue to be inundated with outrageous demands for cash to solve personal problems.

This trend if not halted he stated, is a recipe for politicians who are rather supposed to protect the national purse, to steal reminding them that these appointees do not manufacture money to be dolling out in that fashion.

Superior who is a social media addict, posted on his Facebook page” Politicians appointed into government roles don’t “manufacture” money. They get paid by GoG as any other public/civil servant. If you need financial help from them to address a personal challenge, be moderate in your request. Remember that, on daily basis, numerous persons seek financial support from their local MPs, MMDCEs, etc to fix their personal problems. Do not encourage politicians to “steal” public funds; your money. What you can do forcefully and rightfully is to request and insist of quality leadership, effecient service delivery and infrastructure development”
