Shakeup in the Police top hierarchy

Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu has transferred a total of 90 senior police officers across the country to take up new duties.

Per the document signed by the IGP, their resassignment from their duty posts take effect from February 6 2019.

According to the list most of these senior officers are transferred from the Police Headquarters in Accra.

The IGP before this transfer had reassigned the former Volta Regional Commander, DCOP Francis Ebenezer Doku to police headquarters and his staff officer also to the Gambaga District Police Command.

The recent shakeup in the service comes at the time coalition of political parties, led by the People’s National Convention’s (PNC) Benard Monah is calling for the head of the IGP over the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence on 31st of January.
