New Patriotic Party(NPP) National Treasurer hopeful, Dr. Charles Dwamena has called on all party members who contested the party’s just ended constituency elections but could not make it to rally behind the winners for strong and united party.

While congratulating the winners for been elected to serve at various capacities at the Constituency level, Dr. Dwamena said he is also commending those who had the courage and fortitude of putting themselves up to serve the party but were not elected.

I witnessed, with great joy, the high level of democratic practices that characterised the just ended Constituency elections across the nation with the exception of a few isolated cases which, I believe, will be resolved in the coming days”, noted.

He continued, “it should not be lost on us that, we have one great political party to build in order to serve and develop our great nation, Ghana. I therefore encourage those who won to be magnanimous in your celebrations whiles entreating those who could not make it to take consolation in the fact that this is victory for the entire party and as such you should give your maximum support to the winners.

This was contained in a press statement released on Tuesday to congratulate the party members at the constituency level for smooth elections and all the officials who supervise the elections.

Dr. Charles Dwamena, popularly called Dr. ‘China’ who served the party as the Director of Finance and Administration in 2016/2017 before appointed to China as the Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador, in the statement said, he is willing and ready to serve the party and its members as National Treasurer if elected at the National Delegates Conference and will not relent on his intention of pushing for the establishment of National Welfare Fund(NWF) and Business Incubation Fund(BIF) which he knows will go a long way to benefit members of the party, and especially those at the constituency and polling station levels.

“As a unifier and team player, I intend working, together with the other NEC members, to build a highly resourced NPP that will be capable of sustaining political power for many consecutive terms whiles at the same time improving upon the welfare of our members at the grassroots.

I therefore ask for your unflinching support and votes during the National Delegates Conference in June” he said

As a professional Medical Doctor who also holds M.A in Business and Administration, Dr. Charles Dwamena is a founding member of the New Patriotic Party who played a leading role in forming the China Branch of the party. He became Chairman for two terms and raised to the position of Chairman for the China/Asia Pacific Branch of the NPP. He was the youngest to serve at that position.

Dr. ‘China’ contested Kwadaso Parliamentary primaries in 2015 but lost, and was appointed as Director of Finance and Administration, a position he held from 2016 until he was appointed as the Deputy Ambassador to China in 2017 by President Akufo Addo.
