A survey conducted and released by Ashpoll on Wednesday, indicate that the former National Women’s Organizer, Madam Rita Asobayire has taken the lead ahead of her competitors at the National Vice Chairman position.
The survey shows Madam Asobayire leading with a wider margin of 1,371 votes and her close contender, Mr. Fredrick Fredua Antow (F.F. Anto), the incumbent 3rd National Vice Chairman polling 838 votes, representing 36.96% and 22.59% respectively.
They were followed by Mr. Michael Omari Wadie and Philomena Serwaah Akoto on the same position with 780 and 720 votes, representing 21.03% and 19.42% in order.

The survey which was conducted in 246 out of 275 constituencies in all the 10 regions had a total number of 3,709 respondents for the National Chairman, National Vice Chairperson, General Secretary and the National Treasurer positions.
It was also revealed in the survey that, the National Treasurer position of the ruling NPP which is being contested by six people, had Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to China, Dr. Charles Dwamena, popularly called Dr. ‘China’ jumped to the lead with a wide margin of 2,263 votes representing 61.01%.
His close competitor is the incumbent, Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah polling 605 votes representing 16.31%, with Nuhu Mahama, Ahmed Saida Ruka, Abraham Amoakohene and Mary Posch-Oduro who polled 361, 272, 123, and 85, representing 9.73%, 7.35%, 3.32% and 2.28% respectively.
Dr. Charles Dwamena, Dr. 'China' - NPP National Treasurer Hopeful
The Acting General Secretary and National Organizer of the party, John Boadu, aka Uncle JB, who is vying for the General Secretary is also said to be in the lead, ahead of former Member of Parliament for Effia/Kwasimntim, Joseph Badu Ansah with 2,038 and 1,254 votes respectively.
Ashpoll Consult had these following hopefuls taken lead in their various positions in the survey; Kate Gyamfoa for the National Women’s Organizer, Sammy Awuku going unopposed at the Organizer position, Kamal Deen Abdallah for Youth Organizer, Ali Suraj for Nasara Coordinator.
The survey also puts Acting National Chairman, Mr. Freddy Blay ahead of his close competitor, Stephen Ntim, on the Chairmanship slot with 1,420 votes and 1,339 votes representing 38.29% 36.10% respectively.
