Chairperson of the Ga West Presbytery, Rev. Daniel A. Nyarko, has appealed to all religious bodies in the country to live peacefully with each other as it has been the case since time immoral.

Rev. Daniel Nyarko noted that we are not in normal times and if we have religious misunderstanding, it could be too devastating.

He appealed to the two main religious institution, Christians and Muslims to tolerate each other.

Rev. Daniel A. Nyarko made this call in an interview with frontpageghana.com during the 5th Annual Delegates Conference of the Ga West Presbytery Men’s Fellowship of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Accra.

According to the Reverend Minister, Ghanaians should not let the peace and the good relationship we have enjoyed in this country all these years be derailed with petty issues.

On the Ga West Men’s Fellowship, the Chairperson expressed his gratefulness to God for His Mercies and Endurance for the successful years He has taken them through.

He said the Men’s fellowship has grown both in numbers and assets under his Chairmanship.

“We have what it takes to be a Presbytery; we have our residence for the Chairperson, an office, bought our vehicle that the Chairperson is using to serve the Presbytery”.

He averred that within five years, they have made the Office of the Clerk of the Presbytery a full time office, and have secured a residence and a car for him. All these, according to him, were procured with the support of the Men’s Fellowship.
Rev. Nyarko also hinted that they are focusing on rural evangelism and currently working in Obuom and the surrounding villages.

He noted that a lot have been invested and many souls have been won for Christ over there.

He added that the Church has also bought many plots there, and is in the process of building pavilions and places of worship, revealing all these were supported by the Men’s Fellowship of the Ga West Presbytery.

“I want to appeal to the Men’s Fellowship to step up their Spiritual life and prayers in their daily lifes. They are doing a lot of work, which needs money. I pray that they can mobilize funds so they will be able to go further in evangelism and in supporting various communities. I pray that the Men’s Fellowship can support the deprived communities with bore holes, washrooms and health centres within the Presbytery.”
“I thank God for bringing us this far and I trust that all will be well,” he added.

On sanitation, Rev. Nyarko lamented it is sad that one goes to the villages and where the rivers flow from upstream and by the time it gets to those downstream, the water is so polluted that it cannot be drunk or used for anything.

“Am appealing to the authorities to step in to stop this menace up stream for those living downstream to get proper water to use for their services”, he stated.

He tasked the Men’s Fellowship to campaign for good and clean environment whenever they go out on evangelism.
