Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has indicated that former President John Mahama does not value friendship hence he has problems with him.
He explained that the 2020 flagbearer of the NDC who he considered as a friend and brother betrayed him at a meeting of Fante caucus of the opposition NDC party.
According to the suspended former Central regional Chairman, who has also said in public that he has quite the NDC party, Mr. Mahama at a said meeting told them that he (Allotey) is not his friend, rather to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
“He betrayed me during a meeting of the Fante caucus. Hannah Tetteh asked him(John Mahama) whether I am his friend, and he told them he is not my friend, and that I’m rather friends with his brother, Ibrahim Mahama”, he noted.
“I confronted him on that, but he couldn’t answer”, he added.
Mr. Allotey Jacobs (popularly called ‘Run Man Run’) revealed that he had good relationship with father of Dr. Bawumia the Vice President of the Republic, Mumuni Bawumia, so he has chosen to support the Vice President.
Narrating further, the ‘former NDC’ guru said as an experience politician, he could see that if the NPP makes Dr. Bawumia their flagbearer into the 2024, the NPP will be able to break the eight cycle and that will further sink the NDC.
