President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will meet the Speaker of Parliament and the entire leadership of the House at 3:00 pm today.
Speaker of Parliament, Professor Aaron Michael Oquaye informed plenary of the meeting when members convened for Monday’s sitting.
He said, “The President will want to meet with the Speakers as well as the entire leadership of both sides of the House at 3:00 pm in his office.”
“So please come together in my office and we shall arrange to drive there.”

Speaker Mike Oquaye did not, however, explain the purpose of the meeting or the reason why the President is asking to meet the Speakers and leadership of the House.
However, with an announcement of more restrictions by the government in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, a consultation to suspend Parliament for a while could be possible.
President Akufo-Addo announced new precautionary measures on Sunday as Ghana confirms four more cases of the Covid-19 and taking the number to six in just under one week.
Educational institutions have been asked to suspend all activities while religious and funeral gatherings and other gatherings are being discouraged by the government in order to halt the spread of the infection.
Some travel restrictions have also been introduced and foreigners coming from countries that have recorded more than 200 cases of the Coronavirus have been banned from entering the country.
