Rejoinder from COP Kofi Boakye is lame and confirms his apparent involvement in the attacks at Kotoka

When I put out the story of COP Nathan Kofi Boakye having instigated an attack at the Terminals 2 and 3 and attacking the security personnel of Kotoka International Airport’s control tower and VVIP lounge, it was swiftly denied by persons close to him.

They said that there was no attack in the first place, let alone he instigating the said attacks. They said the story was a make-believe one, something invented by me.

Just this morning, a rejoinder has been issued by the Office of COP Kofi Boakye, denying categorically his involvement in the matter.

The statement further explains that Kofi Boakye acted swiftly to restore and prevent further disturbances caused by a group of unruly individuals.

His intervention, according to the statement, ensured the safety of passengers, staff, and property at KIA.

I am trying to figure out what exactly the statement was denying. The contradictions alone leave so much to be desired.

Why did they deny that there was such an attack in the first place when the information was put out there last night? This statement in the form of a rejoinder makes a complete nonsense of the earlier denial.

More importantly, what business does COP Nathan Kofi Boakye, the Director of Operations at the Presidency, have with the security at the Kotoka International Airport?

Is he the National Security Coordinator or the Defense Minister? Is he in charge of the Interior Ministry? The Kotoka International Airport is outside his jurisdictional authority! He has no business ‘intervening’ any attack by any unruly individuals.

People should not create the impression that we do not know the duties of the Director of Operations at the Presidency. We know and that excludes overseeing the security of KIA.

It is, therefore, my belief and insistence that indeed, he instigated the attacks on the security personnel at KIA, some of whom were mercilessly beaten up and the control tower virtually closed down as a result.
