Speaker recalls Parliament to resume sittings tomorrow

Speaker of Parliament, Professor Aaron Michael Oquaye, has recalled Parliament from suspension to sit on Wednesday 8th April 2020.

The resumption is in accordance with Standing Order 6.

A release from Parliament indicates the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta is scheduled to present a Policy Statement to the House on government measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

NOTICE OF THE RESUMPTION OF SITTINGS OF THE FIRST MEETING OF THE FOURTH SESSION OF THE SEVENTH PARLIAMENT

The Parliamentary Service hereby notifies all Honourable Members Of Parliament that the Rtd Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye, has in accordance with Standing Order 6, directed the resumption of the Sittings Of the First Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic on Wednesday, the 8th Day of April, 2020 At Ten O’clock In the forenoon at Parliament House, Accra.

The Hon. Minister of Finance is scheduled to present a Policy Statement to the House in accordance with Standing Order 70 (2) on matters relating to Government measures to curb the spread of the Corona Virus Disease as well as to facilitate the transaction of any other urgent business.

All Honourable Members are entreated to be present.
