He said in every profession those who had passion for their work succeeded and called on the young ones to emulate that principle and work with it.
“To be able to fit into a character in a play, you must have passion and time,” Mr. Lomo-Mainoo said in Accra on Thursday during the auditioning of the rebirth of a television series; “Inspector Bediako.”
The Inspector Bediako detective series that used to be on the screens in the early 90s is set to re-appear on the screens under the Dateline Marketing Production Brand.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Lomo-Mainoo said after the two days auditioning, the production team would be working side by side on the story, coming out with scripts, pre-production, cast scripts and working on location before they start to shoot.
Mr Lomo-Mainoo who would be directing, producing and providing production logistics for the “Inspector Bediako” series, said: “All things being equal, maybe the third quarter of the year we will have it back on our screens.
“We have to deal with a lot of factors but if it goes as planned we will hit the screen soon”.
Touching on the auditioning, Mr Lomo-Mainoo said the team was looking for “different character personalities”.
He said the “Inspector Bediako” team was made up of three people and the auditioning team was trying to get that number though the character; Inspector Bediako, had already been chosen, however, that alone would not make the drama.
“But we are looking at potential artists we can fall on as the script evolves and so we will say we are auditioning and building a script bank,” he said.
Amidst the intense questioning, drama, passion and humour from the three panel of judges, the contestants took turns to exhibit their talents based on the different scripts they were given.
The judges educated and advised them to act with emotion.
The female and male contestants came from Ghana, Nigeria and other West African countries.
