Immediate past Deputy Attorney General during President Akufo-Addo’s first term, Dominic Joseph Kpemka, has called on the general public to disregard allegation against him that he has insulted the people of Upper East region.
According to Mr. Kpemka, there was no way he insulted his own people when he was interviewed on a radio program and that people should treat the said story with the utmost contempt it deserved.

The former Member of Parliament for Tempane Constituency said his attention was drawn to a headline which alleged that he said the people of Upper East are only good at gossiping and bringing people down.
He said, “The said reportage was not only false, but a calculated attempt to dent my reputation and to pitch me against my own people.”
Setting the records straight, the respected Lawyer explained that he was responding to a specific question put to him by Albert Azongo, a host at Dreamz FM, a private radio station in the Upper East.
He stated, “Some NPP people in the Upper East Region have made it a penchant to malign, gossip and bring down others. I even related to some specific conduct of certain individuals and some leading members of the NPP.”

Mr. Kpemka lamented that he did not and would never insult the people of the region; neither can he even insult anyone from a different region, either being old or young.
“I wish to entreat all and sundry to ignore and treat the said reportage with disdain because I have not and would never say any such thing. This obviously venal and fatuous reportage is a choreographed imagination of a mischief maker,” he added.
The former Deputy Attorney General added that he will cause his lawyers to seek the publisher of that story to retract and apologize, and that he will proceed to court if they fail to do so.
