The group who are sympathizers to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) want a true born and bred Nima man or woman to contest for the party and any decision other than that would not be accepted or tolerated per the constituency or else would give a back to the Party.
“Go and battle with the hairdresser Hon Ama Sey in Akwatia,” a member of the group said.
The leader of the group Alhaji Alhassan Y. Galadima said in release “You have lost to your Constituency, and instead of staying there to pick up the pieces, mobilize the party in Akwatia, battle with what you described in your own words hairdresser, defeat her come back to the Parliament, you are rather trekking to Nima to represent the party.”
It added “Is this not selfishness and total betrayal of the National Democratic Congress party in the Akwatia Constituency?” he queried.
Alhassan called on the party hierarchy to suspend the former Deputy Minister for employment and labour relations for making such a decision.
He reiterated why the constituency should give the nod to Abdallah Musah, saying “In opposition we need people who can digest and analyse critical issues on TVs and Radios to win the hearts and minds of the public and Abdallah stands favourite for such platforms since his days as student activists at Presbyterian Boys and University of Ghana with Hon. Samuel Ablakwa.
He called on the current MP Hon Mc Naza to step aside by saying they also want to see their MP participating actively in the party and national issues on TVs in English and other languages.
“Eight years of silence in Parliament is a shameful development for a powerful constituency like Nima ,Alhassan,” he added.
