According to him, the votes polled by the retained Chairman compared to what his opponents had speaks volumes and indicates a dislike for Mr. Cocker
Mr. Ade Coker polled 319 votes to beat his close contenders one of which was Nii Ashimore who garnered 281 votes at the regional delegates elections held over the weekend
Speaking on Accra based UTV, Mr. Boamah who also doubles as the Deputy Minister for Water Resources and Sanitation opined that Mr. Ade Coker who has occupied the Regional Chairmanship slot of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for several terms is beginning to lose favour in the eyes of the electorate.

* Patrick Yaw Boamah
He was full of praise for the NDC for the peaceful manner in which they went about the Regional election, adding that but for the few hitches recorded in a few Constituencies, particularly in the Eastern region, the entire process would have been perfect.
Mr. Boamah noted that the crop of leaders elected in the regional elections gives the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) the impetus to sail through the 2020 elections.
In his opinion, those elected are not robust enough to match the NPP in the various regions in election 2020.
