The Majority Leader in an interview with Samuel Eshun on the Gold Power Drive on Thursday said the 2nd Deputy Speaker, Hon. Alban Bagbin has been given an assignment to deal with certain issues on the allegation, and Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority Leader also added that the House is still in consultation on the matter.
The Speaker was supposed to deliver his ruling on the case last Friday, but defer to a later date.
If readers would call, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga made allegation of bribery against the Minister of Energy of bribing the Minority members on the Appointment Committee of GHc3,000 each.
According to the Bawku Central MP, the money was given to their Chief Whip Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak to be shared to them but he and two others returned it.
But the Minority Chief Whip vehemently denied of taking money from Hon. Osei Owusu for his side.
A special Ad Hoc Committee set up by Speaker and chaired by Hon. Joe Ghartey has quashed the allegations.
