Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, attended Tuesday 3rd March 2020 sitting of Parliament wearing a face mask.
The legislator appears to have been spooked by the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), which has currently spread to 48 countries including neighboring Nigeria.
Though Ghana has not recorded any case of the coronavirus, a Ghana Health Service (GHS) report indicates one person has suspiciously died of the infection in Kumasi.
The report indicated that though test on the deceased came out negative of the coronavirus, he eventually died of his ailment.
Meanwhile, 23 other persons tested for the Covid-19 have come out negative.
The Kumbungu legislator, however, seems to be pursuing extra precautions in addition to the personal hygiene measures advised by the Ghana Health Service.
Incidentally, the MP has called on President Akufo-Addo to submit himself to the mandatory 14-day quarantine when he returns from his European tour.
