“A team of detectives and other experts have interrogated Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, former president of the Ghana Football Association and a statement taken from him,” the police said in a statement signed by ASP David Eklu, Director General/Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service.
Hussein-Suale was involved in the production of an undercover documentary titled Number 12 which exposed corruption in Ghana and Africa football.
Mr Nyantakyi resigned as GFA President following the exposé where he was captured on camera demanding a percentage of sponsorship money for the Ghana Premier League from an undercover agent who had posed as a businessman.
After further investigations, FIFA also banned Mr Nyantakyi from all football relating activities for life.
Mr Hussein-Suale who is said to have played a key role in the undercover documentary was on Wednesday, 16 January 2019 shot thrice at Madina, a suburb of Accra while driving home around 10 p.m.
His assailants made their getaway on a motorbike.
