The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has suspended the issuance of passports for the next four weeks.
According to the Ministry, the development is a temporary measure being instituted.

A release from the Ministry said this is keeping in line with the government’s efforts to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
It indicated that only passport applications with proof of emergency will be attended to during the period across the country from March 17, 2020.
