The Coronavirus scare is tempting ‘respected’ people into undignified behaviours and the Majority leader in Parliament is not pleased.
Sanitizer dispensers that have been installed all over Parliament House are being drained of their content and leaving the authorities very displeased.
The majority leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, issued a stern warning on the floor of the House that persons caught in the act would be dealt with severely.
He urged the Marshall’s Office to activate all CCTV cameras to capture the unscrupulous individuals and expose them.

He said, “We are beginning to witness unfortunate events in this House. We are procuring sanitizers and placing them in vantage positions.”
“What I have noticed is that a few individuals are draining the sanitizers and taking them elsewhere, which is very serious.”
“Mr. Speaker, we need to activate all the CCTVs and anybody who is caught in this would not only be named and shamed, the appropriate sanctions would be applied.”
Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu lamented that sanitizer dispensers could not be placed in vantage positions and overnight all the content is gone.
“It cannot happen like that,” he stated.
“It cannot be that you step out to use a sanitizer that was almost full minutes ago only to find it is empty. This should not be happening,” he added.
The Public Affairs Department had cause to make an announcement on Tuesday to warn those who drain the sanitizer dispensers by drawing the contents into bottles and plastic bags.
Incidentally, since mass visits to the House have been suspended, there is least suspicion those involved in this unholy act could be outsiders.
