Lawyer Martin Kpebu has emphasized the importance for Ghanaians to draw attention to the escalating levels of corruption within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Ghanaians, he said, should charge President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to address them.

He alleged that all instances of corrupt practices ultimately lead to the desk of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Martin Kpebu cited high-profile cases such as the notorious PDS scandal and the Zoomlion scandal exposed by investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni.

Speaking on television recently, the lawyer asserted that it is untenable for the President to distance himself from the numerous corrupt practices that have plagued his administration.

He pointed to the PDS scandal, which involved the questionable awarding of a major electricity concession, and the Zoomlion scandal, in which allegations of corruption were raised against the waste management company.

Kpebu’s comments come at a time when concerns about corruption have been a focal point of public discourse in Ghana.

The legal expert urged Ghanaians to demand transparency and accountability from their leaders and emphasized the need for the President to address these allegations.

The PDS scandal, in particular, had significant implications for the energy sector, raising questions about the due diligence process and decision-making within the government.

Similarly, the Zoomlion scandal, exposed by investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, shed light on alleged corrupt practices within the waste management industry.
