Ghana’s El Clasico, Accra Hearts of Oak’s versus Asante Kotoko is on this afternoon as the clubs clash at the Accra Sports Stadium for their 107th game.
The two are the oldest and most successful clubs in the country and between them share 42 titles.
Kotoko has had the lion share of success in the league but Hearts have been their biggest nemesis yet in the Ghana Premier League.
This evening, the two clubs rekindle the rivalry deeply rooted in time.
Already the antagonism between the two teams can be felt and promises to be such a spectacle.
Hearts goes into the game on the back of two wins since the resignation of Kosta Papic beating Dwarfs and Liberty.
Kotoko, on the other hand, has not done badly on the domestic front despite being kicked out of the CAF Confederations cup competition.
The two teams have met 106 times since 1958 with Hearts winning 36 games and Kotoko winning 35. 35 draws have been recorded so far.
