The establishment of the International Trade Tariff Commission is part of recommendations to all members of the World Trade Organisation to check challenges that are raised by various stakeholders in trading and businesses among member countries.
This was revealed by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Robert Ahomka Lindsay in an interview with Joy Business after addressing members of the Ghana South Africa Business Chamber in Accra on Wednesday.
This will mean that the worry of many Ghanaian Traders about Ghana been used as a dumping grounds for substandard goods will be a thing of the past.
The Commission will be given the mandate of checking such unfair trade practices against the country.
The Deputy Minister after addressing business leaders at the Power Breakfast meeting noted that the Commission will be inaugurated before the end of this April due to the urgency that government has given to dealing with such issues.
He, therefore, assured members of the Ghana South Africa Business Chamber of government’s maximum support in growing their businesses.
This year’s Power Breakfast meeting was used as an opportunity to discuss key businesses concerns between Ghana and South Africa.
President of the Chamber, Ashley Rix was confidence that the renewed confidence in the Ghanaian economy will continue and strengthen business ties between Ghana and South Africa.
