According to, Haruna Iddrisu, he fully supports the call by the 1st Deputy Speaker, Joe Osei Owusu who has called on the Speaker of Parliament, Aaron Mike Ocquaye to set up investigations into the bribery allegation.
If readers would recall, the Member of Bawku Central made allegation against the August house and especially the minority side on the vetting committee of been bribed by the President’s nominee for Energy, Mr. Boakye Agyarko for them to approve his nomination.
Mr. Ayariga on Friday, alleged that his Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak gave the minority side on the vetting committee an envlope containing GHc3000 supposedly coming from Mr. Boakye Agyarko to pave his way through to be approved.
But in a quick rebutal the Minority Chief, Muntaka Mubarak on Saturday debunked the allegation on Joy FM’s talk program, News File and further went on to swear by the Holy Korean that he did not give money to the members on his or receiving same from the 1st Deputy Speaker, Joe Osei Owusu to bribe his side.
In a related development, two Members of Parliament, Mr. Samuel Okudzato and Suhuyini Alhassan have also waged into the matter supporting Mahama Ayarigah’s allegation and adding that, they returned same to their Chief Whip after discovering that, the money given to them was a bribe money by the NPP minister designate.
The general public and other experts are calling the Law makers to launch a full scale investigation into the matter.
