‘Level 200’ Afram Plains North MP performing wonders – Dela Sowah

The Member of Parliament for Kpando, Hon. Dela Sowah, has showered praises on her colleague Member for Afram Plains North, Betty Krosbi Mensah for her hard work both in Parliament and in her Constituency.

Her commendation follows several initiatives by the young lawmaker to make life comfortable for the people of Afram Plains North and her passion and vociferousness on the floor of Parliament.

Madam Dela Sowah who referred to the Afram Plains North lawmaker as her daughter says she is a perfect description of a good student who has become better than her teacher.

The Kpando representative gave the commendation when her ‘daughter’ who is just four months into her second term (Level 200) as MP presented various training equipment to young girls and women in her Constituency to help curb the increasing rate of teenage pregnancy and unemployment in the area.

According to the Girl Child education directorate of the Afram Plains North District, the area has the second-highest teenage pregnancy record in the whole Eastern region.

The skills training equipment and the free enrollment of the young girls into apprenticeship will therefore help them learn a trade and create employment opportunities for themselves and also stay away from unwanted pregnancy.

Mrs Dela Sowah charged the people of Afram Plains North to keep supporting their MP in her quest to deliver more development in the constituency.

Hon. Betty Mensah also presented double-decker refrigerators to the Atakora CHPS Compound, the Donkokrom District Police Command, and a deep freezer to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in fulfilment of a promise she made to the church.

The event was graced by Ruth Dela Seddoh, Deputy National Youth Organizer (NDC); Eastern Regional Vice-Chairman of NDC, Mr William Atamudzi; Michael Ofoe Akorli, Deputy Regional Communication officer; NDC Constituency & Branch Executives of Afram Plains  North, Nana Tettey Bampoe II, Chief of Kwaekese; Nana Hemaa Yaa Serwaa, Queen mother of Atakora; Alhaji Fuseini Osumanu, District Chief Imam of Donkorkrom; Madame Menorkpor Patricia, District Girlchild Coordinator (GES), Officers of the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service.
