SB celebrates 2 years anniversary with free medical screening

Over 500 residents of the area were taken through various health check-ups for them to know their health status. Some were given medicines while others were also advised to go to hospital for thorough medical attention.

Welcoming the group to the town, Nana Kofi Abuna, the Chief of Essipon express his gratitude to the group for choosing his town for such a program and commended their effort of travelling from far and near, some coming from abroad, to give them free medical care.

He also advised them to let the unity, love and understanding that prevail between them be maintained and through that a healthy society and nation can be built.

The leader of the group in the Western region, John Damoah alias Jagger Pee, on behalf of the team also thanked the chief and his elders for accepting the Support Base group into the town, and used the opportunity to advise the people to be very cautious of their daily lives and the youth to be of good behaviour and stay away from social vices that would run their life.

The group also made donation of assorted educational items to the Twin City Special School and dined with the inmates.

Thanksgiving Service was held on Sunday at Dunwell Society of the Methodist Church Ghana, Effiakuma. Support Base donated an amount of Ghc1,000 to thank the Lord for His protection over the group throughout the year and pray to God to keep them under His Mighty umbrella for the coming years.

Support Base, is a group of Ghanaian young men and women who have come together share ideas of human capacity development in various areas of profession. They support the members in the group financially and extends their support to the society too.

Support Base was formed through Whatsapp and its members are from various field of profession based in both Ghana and abroad.
