It would have been the eighth wonder of the world if our NDC friends had not denied any knowledge of this memo in circulation.
Very typical of them, they have tended to blame some cabal within the ruling party to have come out with this memo and created the impression that it has come from the NDC.
Let no one be deceived that this is something beyond the NDC when their desperation for a comeback has led them to invent all manner of stories just to achieve their aim.
If it is any consolation to you, let me remind you about a meeting that was held between Mahama and the Minority MPs when the E-levy was promulgated.
Mr. Mahama urged his MPs to ensure that the electronic levy idea becomes an abortive expedition. His position was that and has always been the fact that the passage of the levy would inure to the benefit of the NPP.
To Mr. Mahama, the E-levy’s inflows would be so much that the governing NPP would leverage on it to expand the infrastructural development of the country and that, in his belief, would give the NPP a huge advantage in the 2024 elections.
Haruna Iddrisu got educated along the line, conceded that the levy was in order but was soon gagged and made to eat back his words.
This memo soundly sums up the ultimate goal of Mr. Mahama and his NDC. Their devilish mindset is legibly captured in this memo in circulation.
Any attempt by them to dismiss this memo as being a pure invention of elements within this government should be treated with complete disdain.
