Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia slammed former President John Dramani Mahama’s understanding of the 24-hour economy policy he proposed.

Dr. Bawumia stated that this policy is already being implemented in Ghana, as hospitals, fuel companies, and other essential services operate on a 24-hour system.

He urged Ghanaians to ignore Mahama during the 2024 polls, as he has nothing new to offer and vote for the New Patriotic Party instead.

Dr. Bawumia further explained that Mahama’s proposed idea of a 24-hour economy is not new and it does not make sense as it is already happening in Ghana.

He highlighted that digitalization has made it possible to transfer and receive money 24 hours a day.

He also mentioned that a 24-hour economy cannot exist in a “dumsor economy,” which was prevalent during Mahama’s presidency.

Dr. Bawumia promised to bring a new vision and policy if elected in 2024, stating that he represents the future while Mahama represents the past. He encouraged Ghanaians to vote for him, promising to take the country to new heights.
