Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana’s Education Minister, is urging voters to consider giving the New Patriotic Party (NPP) another term in office, emphasizing the government’s notable achievements in education, health, industry, and other vital sectors.

Dr. Adutwum specifically highlighted the transformation of public schools and the introduction of free second-cycle education as significant milestones.

Speaking at the Osei Adutwum Senior High School in the Bosomtwe Constituency, Dr. Adutwum encouraged Ghanaians to evaluate the NPP’s track record, stating, “Our government has done well, come to education, we have free secondary education, free TVET, now the transformation of public schools, and if you look at our track record in health, in industry, in every sector, we deserve another term.”

He further emphasized that there is no constitutional provision limiting the number of terms a government can serve and pointed to the positive impact on education in the Bosomtwe Constituency.

Dr. Adutwum envisioned the area becoming a learning hub, stating, “If we continue to build on that and strengthen the existing schools, we can truly make this the learning hub of Ghana where students come to learn and acquire skills irrespective of where they come from.”

Highlighting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s initiative of free secondary education, Dr. Adutwum urged parents to actively support their children’s education.

He noted, “Parents also have a role to play, encouraging the children to go to school and where there’s a need, making sure that they come and seek support for their wards.”

As a demonstration of his commitment, Dr. Adutwum distributed essential items and financial support to widows and students, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing education in families.

The Education Minister envisioned a transformed Bosomtwe beyond 2024, aiming to make it a centerpiece of education not only in Ghana but potentially in Africa and the world.
