Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), on Sunday, March 12, 2023, joined several other Party stakeholders for the inauguration of the Women’s Wing of the Ayawaso North Constituency of the NPP.

The annual event, which serves as a gathering for various women groups of the Party in the Ayawaso North Constituency, is observed under the auspices of the constituency Women Organiser and intended to revitalise and galvanise the women’s wing of the Party in the constituency.

In his address, the General Secretary commended the organisers of the event as he eulogized the Women Organiser and the entire leadership of the constituency for keeping the Women’s wing active. He observed that various women groups since the formation of the NPP have played critical roles in the Party’s successes and would be crucial in the Party’s bid to win a historic third consecutive general elections (break the eight).

Amidst sporadic display of approval of his remarks by the audience, the General Secretary reiterated the need for women of the Elephant fraternity to lace-up and propagate the achievements of the NPP government led by H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in every nook and cranny of the country. He intimated that it is only when Ghanaians are made aware of the numerous developmental achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration that the Party could retain power in 2024.

Specifically in relation to the Ayawaso North Constituency parliamentary seat, Lawyer Kodua enjoined the women’s wing to endeavour to make it a no-go area for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In his concluding statement, the chief scribe hinted at the Party’s readiness to roll out programmes aimed at building the capacities of women to meet the challenges of the 2024 campaign, and positively respond to its dynamics. He pledged his personal support to the realization of that vision as he admitted it was key to the NPP’s next electoral success.
