Journalist from S.A dies at a training in Cairo

She was said to have complained of feverishness and was taken to hospital but died moments later, according to Graphic Online reporter, Gertrude Ankah Nyavi who is also attending the same workshop in Cairo.

According to Ms Ankah Nyavi, the 34-year-old Jadoo started complaining feeling unwell on Tuesday and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance on Wednesday but was declared dead on arrival at 7:20 am local time.

The UAJ has said this is the first time such an incident has happened since it started organising such programmes in the last 18 years.

Jadoo moved to The Citizen in 2012 following stints after working with the South African Press Association and The Post.

The 34-year-old News Editor won numerous awards at the newspaper, including the Journalist of the Year in 2017.

She produced lead stories almost on a daily basis for The Citizen on different subject.
