He gave this directive on his maiden familiarization tour at the Burma Camp after his assumption of office as Minister of Defence

The Minister who was led to inspect the lands of the school by Military Officers was told that about 200 hectors of lands of the Ghana Military at the Burma Camp had been encroached by some Ga Chiefs and sold to individuals.

According to the authorities at the Teshie Camp, the Chiefs have approached them after the encroachment that they should be allowed to construct the fence wall at their cost.

But the Minister was of the view that should the school allow for the wall to be constructed by the people, the school might not get its land as the construction might not be in favour of the school.

A presentation which preceded the inspection outlined challenges of the school which included the encroachment resulting in lack of training grounds amongst others.

He went to the Army Headquarters, after having a closed-door meeting with the Chief of Army Staff.
