A Former Member of Parliament(MP) for the Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency, Hon Samuel Ato Amoah has stated that the biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress(NDC) is more than ready to snatch power from the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP).
He expressed disappointment about what he termed the ‘bad leadership’ under the current NPP government that had thrown the country into an economic abyss, stressing that, it is only the NDC that can rescue the country from the current turmoil.
In an exclusive interview with Mr. Ato Amoah appealed to all NDC members at the National, Regional and Constituencies, to fully unite to recapture power from the NPP government.
“When we are united and we all hold onto the umbrella tightly, not even an elephant party can come near us” Mr. Ato Amoah stated.
According to him, “the NDC party is so lucky to have General Mosquito as our National Chairman to work effectively to win the elections for the NDC”.
Mr. Ato Amoah charged the party members to strongly rally behind the leadership of the party and work extra hard for the party to achieve its aim of winning power “since the ruling NPP can never break the 8 years they are boasting of”.
The former lawmaker also expressed sadness that not even a single project has been initiated in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa constituency since NPP assumed office, and therefore called on Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan, President Nana Addo and other Government Officials to as a matter of urgency give the constituency its share of development.
Mr. Ato Amoah who announced his bid to re-contest the NDC upcoming parliamentary primaries, promised to use his common fund to reshape deplorable roads within the constituency, since the NPP government has failed in that regard.
