He said, “under the Education for jobs, we print a lot of exercise books and we have taken a decision that all exercise books should at least be printed in every region, and this will create jobs for the unemployed, and under the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government, nobody will be awarded contract to import exercise books.”

‘If you want to distribute or print excise books you should be a citizen of Ghana and even if you establish a company it should be owned by a citizen of Ghana. We are no longer going to create jobs for foreigners”, the Minister revealed.

Napo, as popularly called echoed that, in September this year every Junior High School Student who passes the Basic Education Certificate Examination ( BECE ) will be admitted into the government Senior High School (SHS) free.

“Local seamstresses should get prepared you have jobs. If you are in Ashanti Region or any part of the country you will sow their school uniforms”, he added.

The Education Minister also noted that there are available funds to finance the government’s free education policy and asked the people to debunk opinions that this will affect the quality of education in the country.
