On this occasion of the celebration of Eid Mubarak marking the end of the thirty days fasting period for our Moslem brothers and sisters, the Executives of the Private Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) congratulates and wishes all our Moslem brothers and sisters Eid Mubarak.

We thank Allah for guiding all of you safely and peacefully throughout these thirty days of fasting and prayers, whose purpose was to enable you go through a process of spiritual renewal with its attendant blessings and breakthroughs.

May the celebration of this day to climax the period and particularly the spiritual renewal the world is experiencing today and the days ahead, as a result of this spiritual exercise, help us to unite more as a people to fight against all forms of injustices, corruption, media tyranny and oppression, unemployment and any form of utterances and conducts that can serve as a recipe for chaos in this country.

This is important as the country and all political parties are currently gearing themselves up to begin vigorous campaigns towards the December 2020 general elections.

The Executives are of the view that, the opportunities Allah offered to all Moslems during this one month of fasting and prayers should be practicalised by all to the benefit of the religion, the nation and the noble profession of journalism.

May the spiritual renewal of the Ramadan period give us a renewed vigour to unite to fight against the further spread of Covid – 19, which is currently ravaging our country and the world at large.

It is the prayer of the Executives of PRINPAG that, an effective and relevant medicine would be found to help flush out Covid-19 from our country and the world at large.

As we extend our warm wishes to our Moslem brothers and sisters as they celebrate this day, the Executives of PRINPAG would want to use this opportunity to remind us all to adhere strictly to the protocols of Covid-19, which are, effective social distancing, frequent washing of hands, wearing of face masks, sanitisng our hands with alcohol-based sanitsers and above all, staying at home when we do not have anything urgent to do outside our various homes.

Thank you.
