Frontpageghana.com can confirm with authority that the Municipal Chief Executive of Tano South, Collins Offiman Takyi has offered scholarships to himself and his family members.
Information sighted by the portal shows that the MCE, Mr. Offinam Takyi, gave himself GH¢9,000 worth of scholarship; his wife, Joyce Offinam Takyi, GH¢6,000; his elder daughter, Emmanuela Akyaa Takyi, GH¢5,936 and his younger kid, Maame Yaa Baffour Takyi, GH¢1,799 for their respective courses of study.
The MCE himself was a panel member of those interviewing applicants for the scholarships and interviewed his wife and two kids.

He also had his interview at the same time to receive the scholarship.
Hon. Offinam Takyi was also a member of the team that reviewed the applicants and gave himself, wife and kids high marks.
This conflict of interest situation took place in Bechem where the interview took place.
Some party members who have heard of this have expressed concern about why the MCE would not assist party members to get scholarships but will rather take what should go to them.
The party members have called on President Akufo-Addo not to appoint Mr. Offinam Takyi as their MCE for the second time.
