President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will deliver his Message on the State of the Nation to Parliament on Tuesday 9th March, 2021.
The address is in fulfilment of the Constitutional provision in Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution which states, “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the State of the Nation.”
Tuesday’s message will be the first of the President’s State of the Nation Address in the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
A statement from the Public Affairs Department of Parliament indicated that attendance and coverage of the event, which will be held at the Dome, will strictly be by invitation or accreditation.
All Covid-19 protocols, including social distancing and mask-wearing, the statement said, will be observed.
