Made in Ghana goods campaign launched

Spearheaded by the Ghana Tourism Authority, the campaign is also aimed at promoting the country’s culture, films, music, local delicacies, clothing and tourist sites among others.

Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku admonished hoteliers to integrate our local dishes into their menu.

The campaign is dubbed see Ghana, Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana and Feel Ghana.

The Castle gardens came alive with performances and speeches from poets such as Professor Atokwei Okine, Nana Asaase, Osei Korankye and Laud White.

The Ghana Dance Ensemble and Abibigroma thrilled guests to finest Ghanaian musical performances and stage drama. It was also an opportunity to take stock of Ghana’s festivals, tourist sites and the Ghanaian hospitality.

In her keynote address, the Minister of Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Mrs Catherine Afeku admonished Ghanaians to pride themselves in what the country’s culture and tradition stand for.

Other dignitaries present were Ambassadors, Statesmen and key players in the creative arts industry.

Some made in Ghana products were also on display.
